CMDB Settings#
General Configuration#
MyDoIt task entries → Define how many tasks from the workflow system under MyDoIt are to be displayed.
"Disable logbook commentary" → The logbook commentary asks a user to comment each change. Here you can activate or deactivate this function.
SYS-ID readonly → Specify if the SYS-ID attribute should be editable or read-only.
Drag 'n' Drop of objects → You can activate or deactivate the feature to move objects between object groups with the mouse.
Object type sorting → Determine the feature for sorting object types in the list view.
Monetary format → Here you can set the global standard for the currency format.
Attribute visibility (available with i-doit 1.19)#

CMDB#
Releasing of ip-addresses when object gets archived or deleted → If you activate this option, IP addresses are released from objects as soon as they are deleted or archived.
Template Configuration#
Show template filter in object lists → Here you can activate/ deactivate the template filters in the objects.
Show assigned/referenced templates in CMDB → Activate or deactivate the display of assigned or referenced templates.
Colorize template assignments/references → Here you can select or deselect color highlighting of assigned and referenced templates.
With color → Determine the color with which you want to mark items.
Object Lock#
Activate locking of objects in edit mode → Activate or deactivate the object lock.
Timeout → Define how long an object should be blocked for the time of editing (in seconds).
Currently locked objects → All objects which are currently blocked are listed here.
Custom Categories#
Here you can organize and edit the custom categories. → READ MORE
Relation Types#
With the object relations feature you can organize and edit all relations within i-doit. → READ MORE
CMDB Status#
You can organize and edit the existing states with the CMDB status feature. Furthermore, you can determine which status is assigned to an imported object and if the status filter should be displayed. → READMORE
Dialog-Admin#
With Dialog-Admin you can organize and edit the contents templates of all dialog-plus fields. Here you can also find the custom dialog-plus fields. → READMORE
Events#
Operate the i-doit event system with the Events feature. → READMORE
Object Swap#
In the object swap configuration you can specify which object types are available for this function and which categories are supported. Furthermore, you can determine to which CMDB status they change after swapping, if they are to be archived or if the SYS.ID should be swapped, too.
Category Extension#
With this feature you can adapt the names of the fields from the LDAP configuration file. → READMORE
Logbook#
Archive#
Enter for how long entries in the logbook should be kept before they will be archived. → READMORE
Logbook View#
In the logbook view you can filter entries according to several parameters. If possible, an entry contains the exact changes. (Which values were changed and how?) → READMORE
Logbook Configuration#
In the logbook configuration you can define how many changes may be combined as a maximum in a logbook entry, if the user only should be displayed with his/ her ID or in an extended way and if yes, how this should look like. Additionally, you can determine the number of combined changes per logbook entry during an import procedure. → READMORE
Restore#
With this function you can restore entries which were already archived. → READMORE
Object Type Configuration#
With this feature you can organize and edit the respective object types and their characteristics. → READMORE
QR-Code#
Determine the configuration for the QR code in this dialog. You can choose if the QR code should contain the primary access URL of objects as a content or if a global definition should be used. Additionally, you can decide what happens when you click on a displayed QR code. → READMORE
Quick Configuration Wizard (QCW)#
The Quick Configuration Wizard (QCW) provides the possibility to configure the object type groups, their allocated object types and their respective categories in a comfortable way.
Roles Administration#
In i-doit roles offer the possibility to define the kind of the function when assigning contacts. Here you can manage the roles centrally.
Validation#
With this feature you can determine and administer mandatory fields. You can also specify extended content definitions for the respective mandatory fields.
